Get your kids ready to do the twist: Kim & Scott's Gourmet Pretzels is opening its first city retail outpost Wednesday in Lincoln Park.
The menu at the new Caf Twist, 2218 N Lincoln Ave, includes soups, salads and sandwiches in addition to 11 varieties of its signature stuffed pretzels that can be ordered a la carte, in flights or as the bread for "twisted" sandwiches (among the flavors: cheddar jalapeo , cinnamon roll, pizza and spinach feta.) Kids can twist their own pretzels and add custom toppings at the restaurant, where staff will teach twisting steps known as the "jump rope," "the rainbow," and "the fish." Customized pretzels are bakedand no doubt devouredon the spot. Frozen pretzels to take home will also be for sale.
